Fish Fry Recipe
Ingredients:
- 500 grams of fish fillets (or any cleaned small fish)
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust according to your spice preference)
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions:
- Wash the fish fillets thoroughly and pat them dry using a kitchen towel. Cut them into desired sized pieces.
- In a bowl, combine the coriander powder, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to form a smooth paste.
- Rub the spice paste evenly onto both sides of the fish fillets, ensuring they are well coated. Allow the fish to marinate for about 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to penetrate.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan or deep skillet over medium heat. Make sure there is enough oil to fully submerge the fish pieces.
- Once the oil is hot, carefully place the marinated fish fillets into the pan, ensuring not to overcrowd them. Fry the fish for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until they turn golden brown and crispy.
- Once the fish pieces are cooked through and crispy, remove them from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
- Serve the fish fry hot with lemon wedges on the side. It pairs well with steamed rice, salad, or your favorite dipping sauce.
